UF integrity checks: what online readings and direct tests show

Distinguish indirect signals such as filtrate turbidity from direct UF integrity tests specified for the actual membrane system. Keep test conditions, results and follow-up records; one reading cannot establish that a membrane is intact.

Clear ultrafiltration filtrate does not establish that every module and connection is intact. An integrity check should identify the membrane group, test method, conditions and response to an abnormal result.

The distinction in the official manual

Version 8 of DuPont’s IntegraTec UF manual, dated April 2026, distinguishes indirect monitoring such as turbidity or particle counts from direct integrity tests such as pressure decay. They provide different evidence. Test conditions and acceptance criteria must match the actual membrane system.

Separate UF maintenance from RO feedwater acceptance

Request UF maintenance documents and downstream RO feedwater checks separately. “UF installed” describes a configuration. Whether the water meets the selected RO requirements must be answered by appropriate testing and design checks. A photograph cannot replace either handover task.

Frequently asked questions

Can a webpage give a universal test pressure and passing limit? No. The actual model manual and the responsible system party should specify the procedure and limits. This article provides an information checklist.

What helps with a remote enquiry about an abnormal result? Provide the group ID, time, test method and records before and after corrective work. If water-supply safety is affected, follow the site response plan.

References and scope

References checked on 9 October 2026. These are public reference materials. Gudian prepared the information checklists for project enquiries. A supplier manual does not establish a brand authorization for this website, and a paper does not show that Gudian equipment has achieved its research results.

Further preparation

Equipment and consumable requirements can first be discussed remotely. Supply, installation and site visits are confirmed for each project. Send only the equipment and water-quality information needed for the enquiry, and conceal personal contact details and sensitive third-party information in photographs.
