What characterizes water quality in highland locations?
Water quality can vary substantially by source and season. The description “Yunnan highlands” alone cannot establish hardness, iron, manganese, or turbidity. Check actual water quality reports, temperature, altitude, and site conditions during selection so that designers can confirm process and equipment requirements.
How should I choose a supplier of highland water treatment equipment?
Compare water quality and operating-condition analysis, verifiable supply documents, actual project records, acceptance methods, and after-sales responsibilities. Tell suppliers the specific Yunnan location, raw-water conditions, and intended use before comparing complete proposals. Do not decide solely on brand claims or a single specification.
How should rural drinking water be treated safely?
First investigate the water source and supply conditions. Determine process, disinfection, and operating management requirements against test results, applicable standards, and supply scale. Equipment configuration is only part of supply management. Confirm outcomes through agreed testing and acceptance, and maintain ongoing management as required.
When should water treatment consumables be replaced or reordered?
Replacement intervals depend on raw water, usage, equipment configuration, and maintenance. Use the relevant instructions, inspections, and operating records to determine timing. Before purchasing, check the model, material requirements, and intended use. A fixed number of months is not a universal service life for all cartridges, filter media, or membrane elements.
Are site services available, and which areas are covered?
Submit the project location, site conditions, and service requirements for confirmation. Agree the scope, fees, and timing of surveys, installation, commissioning, and maintenance in writing before service begins. For projects away from our base, also confirm travel and staffing conditions.
How does water in the Yunnan highlands differ from water in lowland areas?
Altitude and water temperature can affect some equipment operating conditions, but water quality must still be assessed against the specific source and test results. Regions, geological conditions, and seasons within Yunnan can differ. It is inappropriate to describe every highland source as having high hardness, iron, or manganese. State the actual operating conditions in the proposal.
What investment is roughly needed for a rural drinking-water system?
The cost depends on water-source test results, supply scale, output-water requirements, site construction, and the scope of operation and maintenance. Prepare raw-water and demand information first, then compare equipment, transportation, installation, testing, and after-sales items in written proposals. Confirm whether a site survey is charged and the specific amount before arranging it.
Why is the water yellow with a metallic smell, and how should it be treated?
Color and smell are only investigation clues and cannot establish excess iron or manganese. First check the water source, storage, and piping, then confirm the cause through relevant tests. Responsible personnel should assess pretreatment and subsequent processes. Do not directly copy chemical dosing or filtration plans from other projects.
How often should an RO membrane be replaced, and how can I tell when replacement is needed?
There is no universal replacement interval. Retain the commissioning baseline and operating records, and compare normalized water production, salt-rejection performance, and pressure differential according to the membrane-element manufacturer's manual. When abnormalities occur, check instruments, operating conditions, and pretreatment first, then decide whether cleaning or replacement is needed. Do not decide solely by the number of months in use.
What should I watch for in purification equipment when water becomes turbid during the rainy season?
Increase checks of raw-water changes, pretreatment output, pressure differential, and operating records, and verify the equipment's permitted feedwater range. If raw water exceeds the design range, follow the operating procedures and contact responsible personnel for assessment. Adjust dosing, backwashing, and replacement plans using actual tests and equipment instructions.
Which areas of Yunnan can receive site services, and how soon can someone arrive?
Submit the specific Yunnan prefecture or city, project location, equipment condition, and preferred timing first. Service arrangements will be confirmed after transport, personnel, and spare-parts conditions are checked. Site-service coverage, arrival times, transportation charges, and labor fees are governed by the written agreement confirmed by both parties.
What if I do not know how to install or maintain the equipment after buying it?
Describe the equipment model, project location, and installation, training, or maintenance support you want, then confirm technical conditions and staffing arrangements. The specific support available, fees, response method, and arrival time are governed by the written agreement. The public inquiry page does not promise scheduled reminders or remote resolution of every fault.
What is the difference between reverse osmosis and ultrafiltration, and how should I choose?
Ultrafiltration primarily retains suspended particles, colloids, and similar matter. It cannot be treated as a general method for removing dissolved salts. Reverse osmosis can reduce dissolved salts, with actual results depending on membrane elements, raw water, and operating conditions. Select equipment using test results, the intended use of treated water, and the complete process. “Iron and manganese removal” or “hardness reduction” alone cannot establish that a particular membrane process is sufficient or mandatory.
What is the difference between “purified water” and other treated water?
These two names alone do not establish whether water quality meets the intended use. When purchasing, specify raw water, treatment processes, target criteria, test methods, and acceptance references before assessing suitability for drinking, production, laboratory, or growing needs. Do not conclude that requirements are met from the equipment name or one conductivity reading alone.
How should purification equipment be selected, and which parameters matter most?
First organize raw-water tests, treated-water uses and downstream requirements, daily demand and peaks, operation and storage arrangements, and power supply, drainage, space, and local conditions. Even with complete information, technical calculations, system configuration, and responsibility confirmation are still required. Four information items alone cannot establish that selection is complete.
Which raw-water quality indicators should be tested, and where can testing be done?
Define the water source, intended use, and applicable standards first, then confirm test items, sampling locations, containers, preservation, and submission requirements with the testing organization and designers. Check the organization's qualifications and scope for the relevant tests. Portable instruments can help observe trends, but cannot replace complete testing or automatically prove acceptance compliance.
What TDS value is normal, and are handheld TDS meters reliable?
Check requirements for the intended use and applicable standards. One universal reading cannot assess all water sources. Common TDS meters estimate values from conductivity and can help observe changes, but cannot determine microorganisms, all chemical indicators, or drinking-water safety. Acceptance must use applicable test items and methods.
What conductivity is required for purified water?
The target should be determined by the specific use, process requirements, and applicable standards. There is no single threshold for all “purified water.” When comparing readings, specify units, measurement temperature, temperature-compensation method, and instrument condition, and check other acceptance criteria. The complete proposal must determine whether further treatment is needed.
What does RO equipment recovery rate mean, and what level is appropriate?
Recovery rate is usually calculated as product-water volume divided by feedwater volume within the same time period and metering scope. The design value requires calculations using raw-water composition, scaling risks, pretreatment, membrane-element limits, and operating conditions, with concentrate handling clearly specified. Having a reuse route does not mean the recovery rate can be raised without limit.
What are the approximate operating costs of an RO system?
Calculate water and drainage, electricity, consumables, chemicals, testing, maintenance, and labor separately, specifying operating hours, local unit prices, and estimation assumptions. Compare unit product-water costs using the same scope, and calibrate estimates with actual records after operation begins. Do not treat cost proportions from one project category as a universal commitment.
How is purification equipment output calculated, and why might the nominal value not be reached?
First check the manufacturer's specified raw-water conditions, temperature, pressure, operating time, and test scope, then compare them with site measurements. If output is insufficient, investigate operating changes, instruments, pretreatment, membrane fouling, and pump condition. During selection, request written design conditions and acceptance methods. Do not apply a fixed temperature derating percentage.
How often should I add salt to a water softener, and which salt should I use?
Confirm the grade, specification, and replenishment requirements for regeneration salt using the equipment and resin manuals. Arrange checks based on water consumption, raw-water hardness, regeneration records, and brine-tank condition. Material and output-water requirements may differ by use. Arbitrary industrial salt should not be treated generally as an interchangeable substitute.
When should an RO membrane be cleaned, and when should it be replaced?
Monitor normalized production, salt-rejection performance, and pressure-differential trends using the corresponding membrane-element manual and commissioning baseline. Exclude operating-condition and instrument abnormalities first. Personnel with the relevant skills should determine causes of fouling or damage and confirm cleaning conditions, material compatibility, and safety requirements. After cleaning, reassess performance and whether replacement is needed. Do not apply a generic chemical formulation directly.
What routine maintenance does water-treatment equipment need, and what happens if it is skipped?
Establish operation, inspection, and maintenance records according to the equipment instructions, monitoring flow, pressure, instruments, pumps and valves, filter cartridges, and necessary water-quality tests. Follow procedures when abnormalities are found. Define maintenance items and intervals using intended uses and operating conditions. Fixed consumable prices or loss amounts cannot predict the consequences for every project.
What water quality does soilless cultivation require, and how should nutrient-solution EC be controlled?
Specify the crop, growth stage, cultivation method, and circulation-management needs first. Growing and water-treatment personnel should confirm requirements using raw-water tests. Assess EC together with the nutrient formulation, pH, specific ions, and management records. Do not substitute a universal threshold for the crop plan or assume every project requires the same low-salt treatment.
If boiled tap water leaves scale, do I need purification equipment?
Scale alone cannot determine whether purification equipment is needed. GB 5749—2022, Standards for Drinking Water Quality, includes a total-hardness criterion. Scale, taste, or a single TDS reading cannot replace tests of the applicable water-quality items. Before selection, check the water source, test report, and intended use. Softening, filtration, and reverse osmosis each have applicable conditions. No single treatment method is equivalent to a comprehensive guarantee of drinking-water safety. For boiler, hot-water, or production uses, confirm whether and how treatment is needed according to the relevant equipment requirements and applicable standards. The standard's original text can be found in the National Public System for Full Text of Standards (GB 5749—2022).
How should water with fishy, earthy, or chlorine odors be handled?
Odors may originate in the water source, treatment, storage, piping, or other stages. A description alone cannot identify the contaminant or treatment method. Check where and when the change occurred first, contact supply or maintenance personnel, and test as needed before confirming applicable cleaning, disinfection, or treatment measures. Do not adopt a dosing plan on your own.
How should I choose a local Yunnan water-treatment equipment supplier, and verify whether it has a physical factory?
Check the business entity, actual business and processing premises, supply responsibilities, and traceable project information. If a visit is needed, confirm the location and arrangements in advance. When comparing quotes, distinguish equipment, transportation, construction, acceptance, and after-sales scope, and request the basis for the proposal. Owning a factory is only one assessment item; it cannot replace quality and contract-performance assessment by itself.
Can water-treatment consumables be purchased individually, and how should replacement intervals be recorded?
Provide the complete model, intended use, quantity, and delivery city first to check whether individual supply is possible and confirm transportation for this order. Stock, shipping origin, and lead time must be confirmed for each inquiry. Do not assume a local warehouse or continuous stock availability. Relevant personnel should determine replacement timing using the corresponding instructions and actual operating records. A completed purchase does not mean compatibility or results have been verified.
Does little change in TDS after softening mean the equipment has failed?
TDS readings alone cannot assess softening performance. The hardness-treatment task, TDS, and conductivity each have distinct measurement meanings. Check the hardness test methods and sampling locations for raw and treated water, along with regeneration and operating records. Determine whether an abnormality exists using the relevant equipment instructions and measurement conditions.
Can tested output figures for individual RO membranes be added directly as whole-system production?
They cannot directly guarantee whole-system production. Check the solution, water temperature, pressure, and recovery rate used in membrane-element testing, then compare them with actual raw water, membrane arrangement, and the complete system's design conditions. Record acceptance according to the system conditions confirmed by both parties.
Does automatic purging make a bag filter maintenance-free?
Automatic purging does not mean no maintenance is needed. Filter bags, seals, valves, and purge passages still require inspection according to the specific equipment instructions. The model, fluid, and operating conditions determine inspection intervals and the basis for consumable replacement.
Can drinking-water standards be copied for every water use on a farm?
Distinguish animal drinking water, cleaning, and staff drinking water first, with relevant professionals confirming the applicable requirements for each use. Drinking-water requirements do not automatically cover every livestock task. Equipment appearance or a single reading cannot replace applicable water-quality testing.
What information is needed before quoting industrial RO equipment?
Provide the raw-water source, treated-water use, daily demand and peaks, target criteria, project location, and site conditions first. Technical personnel will continue checking missing information.
Can ultrafiltration directly replace reverse osmosis?
It depends on the treatment objective. When dissolved salts need to be reduced, ultrafiltration cannot be treated directly as a substitute for reverse osmosis. Selection requires the raw-water and treated-water requirements.
Where should hotel and restaurant purification equipment selection begin?
List each water-use point and downstream equipment requirements first, then check peak demand, raw water, piping, and maintenance space.
Can school purification equipment be sized by enrollment alone?
Enrollment is a starting point. Locations, simultaneous peak use, raw water, site conditions, and ongoing maintenance management also need checking.
Does reduced RO output always mean the membrane must be replaced?
Not necessarily. Assess feedwater, pretreatment, instruments, and operating records according to product requirements and site conditions.
How often should filter cartridges be replaced?
Use manufacturer instructions together with actual water quality, consumption, operating performance, and applicable management requirements. Do not set one interval for every operating condition.
Is softened water the same as purified water?
Conventional softening primarily addresses hardness-related issues and does not remove all dissolved salts. Suitability depends on downstream requirements.
Can I inquire without a consumable model number?
Yes. Provide equipment documents, intended use, and clear photos first, then add the necessary dimensions and operating conditions. A substitute cannot be confirmed directly when information is insufficient.
Can site installation be arranged for a project in another location?
Discuss the city and needs first. Confirm feasibility, personnel, site coordination, expenses, and timing according to actual conditions.
What should be provided for an EDI project?
Provide the complete process, feedwater test information, target production volume, and treated-water requirements, then check module and system conditions.
How do I start a channel partnership?
Describe the city, customer types, team capabilities, and current needs. Once both parties confirm a suitable match, proceed with technical discussions or a trial order.
Can I place an order immediately after submitting requirements?
Equipment and consumables both require checks of configuration or model, delivery scope, and commercial terms. Submitting a form does not itself establish a quote or order.
Why should two industrial RO quotes not be compared only by total price?
Check raw water, output-water requirements, configuration, and service scope first. Quotes covering different scopes cannot be compared directly.
Does signing for equipment delivery mean acceptance is complete?
Receipt, installation and commissioning, and technical acceptance must each be checked against the order and project agreement. They are not directly equivalent.
Can component test information represent the complete equipment system?
It cannot directly replace site results for the system. Check the specific model, conditions, criteria, and scope of application.
How should consumable replenishment quantities be determined?
Record available stock, goods in transit, allocated quantities, and demand first, then check the maintenance plan, storage conditions, and actual supply lead time.
Can filter cartridges with similar appearances replace one another directly?
Also check model, dimensions, connections, materials, intended use, and operating conditions, and confirm the basis for substitution.
What if the delivered documentation does not match the order?
Record the differences and contact the supplier for checking first. Manage items awaiting confirmation separately from usable stock.
Should capacity be expanded immediately if a hotel cannot meet peak demand?
Organize usage periods, locations, and operating records first. Technical personnel should assess the site before discussing configuration.
Can school equipment be restarted directly after a period out of use?
Confirm using equipment instructions, shutdown records, and applicable requirements. The ability to power on or produce water alone is insufficient.
Are site services available for both Yunnan and projects outside the province?
Check the project city and site conditions first, then confirm site-visit feasibility, work scope, expenses, and timing.
Does filling out a cooperation form make me an agent?
Registration is only for discussing needs. Cooperation status, authorization, and specific terms require separate confirmation.
Is conductivity alone enough for an EDI project?
The complete process, feedwater information, production needs, and downstream requirements are usually also needed for technical personnel to check.
Are household water-purifier filter cartridges interchangeable?
Appearance alone cannot confirm this. Check the specific equipment model, connections, applicable documents, and supply scope.
Can an old water-quality report be used directly for this equipment selection?
Check the date, sampling location, test items, and current intended use first. Relevant technical personnel should assess changes and decide whether additional information is needed.
Can a retrofit proposal be prepared from photos of old equipment alone?
Photos help identify missing information. A complete proposal also requires configuration, operation, demand, site conditions, and other details.
Does adding water-use points require equipment selection again?
Check the new uses, downstream requirements, and original system conditions first, then determine whether the configuration needs adjustment.
Does the original quote still apply after requirements change?
Recheck configuration, quantity, expenses, lead time, and service scope, and confirm the currently valid version.
Can consumables with the same dimensions be exchanged directly?
Dimensions alone are insufficient. Also check materials, connections, tasks, and operating conditions, and retain the basis for compatibility.
How long can consumables be stored after opening?
Check the corresponding product instructions and actual condition. Different materials, packaging, and handling histories cannot share one storage limit.
Can an item be used directly once it is entered in inventory?
Its condition and applicable conditions still need confirmation. Clearly mark products awaiting checks, already opened, or already used.
Which information should be organized first for maintenance handover?
Equipment locations, models and identifiers, corresponding documents, actual maintenance records, and outstanding matters. Then define responsibility for further checks.
Does booking maintenance mean the service is complete?
No. Record booking, arrival, actual work, and items awaiting confirmation separately according to actual progress.
What should be considered when handing over customer information?
Check the roles handling the information, recipient, purpose, and necessary details. Provide notice and obtain required consent according to applicable requirements. Keep confirmed and estimated information separate.
Does discussing cooperation confer local agent status?
No. Both parties must further check and agree on specific supply, technical and site responsibilities, and cooperation terms.
Can a repeat purchase follow the old order exactly?
First confirm whether the intended use, model, quantity, or operating conditions have changed. Recheck current stock, prices, lead times, and service terms.
How should sand-media and disc filters be compared when purchasing?
Obtain water-source impurity information, system flow, and emitter filtration requirements first. For sand or media filtration, check the media, bed, and backwash water supply. For disc filtration, check the corresponding filtration grade, flow and pressure losses, and cleaning conditions. Neither may be described as equipment that removes all dissolved salts. Clear-looking water alone cannot determine the proposal. See the drip-irrigation filtration comparison and recording guide for more information.
Is rated filtration flow alone enough to assess an automatic backwashing filter?
No. Also check the model's required backwash flow and pressure, site supply capacity, valve actions, drainage, and whether downstream irrigation continues. Filtration and backwashing are different operating conditions. The appearance of a control cabinet does not prove that automatic functions are included in this order's supply.
Can EDI outlet resistivity directly replace acceptance checks at the point of use?
No. Retain measurement-point, temperature, instrument, and operating records separately for the EDI outlet, storage and distribution, and actual points of use. Finally check the relevant acceptance items for the actual use. One resistivity reading cannot establish that microorganisms, organic matter, or all process requirements have been addressed.
Which equipment connections need checking for EDI module replacement?
Check the complete model and its documents first. Then compare actual feedwater and operating conditions; dimensions and materials of feedwater, product-water, concentrate, and other connections; and power, control, and instrument connections. Replacement also requires confirmation of the relationship with adjacent RO, storage and distribution, and downstream equipment. Appearance or nominal flow alone cannot determine it.
Can raw-water EC and nutrient-solution EC be compared directly?
Distinguish the sampled subjects first. Record raw water, treated preparation water, nutrient solution after fertilizer addition, and return solution separately. Standardize units and retain temperature-compensation and instrument information. Adding fertilizer changes conductivity, so nutrient-solution readings cannot directly serve as raw-water treatment criteria. Whether to discuss RO depends on the required ion information and growing objectives.
Should the same daily water demand mean the same RO and storage configuration?
Not necessarily. The same daily total may be used within a short period or spread out. Check main-unit production, usable storage, supply pumps, and point-of-use pressure together with peaks by period and actual operating conditions. Dividing daily demand by 24 hours is not a complete design.
