Generating content with AI, analysing operating records and controlling equipment have different consequences. First explain which data a system receives, who assesses its output and whether that output actually changes equipment operation.
What two 2026 publications discuss
A June water-quality study examined sensor faults and candidate contamination regions using test networks and synthetic contamination and fault scenarios. It does not establish that every field contamination can be located. A July wastewater machine-learning Comment discusses data timing, operating roles and safety conditions. It offers research guidance, rather than a mandatory technical standard.
What to check before a trial
| Question | Evidence to retain | Judgment still required |
|---|---|---|
| Are the data trustworthy? | Measuring point, time, units, calibration and missing-data notes | Is an anomaly in the instrument, data or process? |
| Were the data available at the time? | The data actually visible when the advice was generated | Were future results or hindsight used? |
| Is the advice useful? | Comparison with the existing decision process in later periods | Historical fit alone is insufficient |
| Who decides to act? | Human review, permissions and conditions for refusing execution | A model suggestion is not automatically a pressure or chemical-dosing instruction |
| What happens on failure? | Alerts, manual takeover and restoration procedures | Preserve site boundaries involving water supply, electricity and chemicals |
Gudian website capability
This article reviews public research and information checks. It does not claim that Gudian equipment has these model capabilities. The website’s content workspace handles content operations; it is a separate system from site PLCs, equipment interlocks and automatic dosing control. Any on-site AI trial requires its own plan and authorization, beginning without control effects on existing operation.
Frequently asked questions
Can AI replace testing and operating personnel? Model outputs cannot replace required testing, qualifications or site responsibility.
Should complete customer operating records be uploaded to an online model? First obtain authorization from the party providing the customer records and confirm who will receive them, retention requirements and privacy measures. Share only the information necessary for the task.
References and scope
References checked on 9 October 2026. These are public reference materials. Gudian prepared the information checklists for project enquiries. A supplier manual does not establish a brand authorization for this website, and a paper does not show that Gudian equipment has achieved its research results.
- Toward trustworthy water quality monitoring under sensor unreliability; npj Clean Water, 15 June 2026. Test layouts for three water networks, synthetic chlorine-reactive contamination scenarios and fault models; not certified field diagnosis.
- Operational evidence standards for machine learning in wastewater treatment; npj Clean Water Comment, 17 July 2026. Discussion of operating evidence for wastewater ML; neither a mandatory standard nor proof of closed-loop control by Gudian equipment.
Further preparation
Equipment and consumable requirements can first be discussed remotely. Supply, installation and site visits are confirmed for each project. Send only the equipment and water-quality information needed for the enquiry, and conceal personal contact details and sensitive third-party information in photographs.
