The tee helps organize three interfaces where a line branches or joins other piping. Define the main line, branch, connected components, branch application, and location. If the name does not specify equal or reducing sizes, leave each end's specification pending confirmation. Do not assume three identical openings from a photograph.

Selection and compatibility

Check port dimensions, connection methods, compatible pipe, and tool conditions separately, along with branch orientation, site supports, and service clearance. On delivery, check ends against mating components. Completed assembly does not replace operating checks. Update connection schedules, management responsibilities, and acceptance scope after adding a branch.

Qualified personnel should perform installation, sealing, and connection work according to the model instructions and site plan. Hand over inspection items, return-to-service conditions, and responsibilities against confirmed documentation. Confirm quantities, accessories, and site services separately for each project.
